6-Chloro-3-Indolyl-ß-D-Glucuronic Acid, Cyclohexyl ammonium
Salmon-XGlcA is an alternative substrate for ß-D-Glucuronidase (GUS) encoded by the gusA gene. Cleavage via hydrolysis is Salmon-Red-X-GlcA by GUS results in the precipitation of a water insoluble SALMON precipitate at the site of enzymatic cleavage. In conjunction with X-gal, Salmon-X-GlcA is useful for simultaneous detection of GUS and Lac activities on the same plate.
